Do you still use last.fm?

After discovering the Clementine / Strawberry supported scrobbling, I hooked up my account earlier this year after over a decade of dormancy, although it's only linked to a single device at the moment.

The last.fm folks have always been very nice, but it's a closed, corporate-owned platform.

Are there any currently active FOSS alternatives I ought to know about ?

Anyway, I live here:

@HauntedOwlbear ListenBrainz might be the way to go - listenbrainz.org/
It's part of the same project as MusicBrainz, and their about page talks about being open and community-based, with a link to their Git repo.

@lunarloony nice! I think I actually saw this in Strawberry's scrobble-to list.

@HauntedOwlbear @lunarloony Strawberry already supports ListenBrainz scrobbling (iirc) 🥳
If you’re testing the waters, last.fm dual-citizens are always welcome. I don’t know if Strawberry allows sending listens to both, but if not you can create a LB account, import your last.fm listens regularly using our importer, and enjoy the best of both worlds.

@metabrainz @HauntedOwlbear @lunarloony ListenBrainz works good with Strawberry. Tested it for a year, at least, on Linux and Windows.
