Started playing Phantasmagoria. I'm on chapter 3 or 4 and I'm pretty sure there has been no way of dying so far. Surprising, given its Sierra lineage and how much the gore was hyped up in the day. The KQ7-style "bookmark" system suggests that even when I eventually start getting murdered, I'll probably be able to undo my mistakes. It's _very_ easy -- there's a Hint Skull that's always visible that will tell you what to do next if you need it, but it's usually pretty obvious.
@SpindleyQ This game is my nemesis for some reason. I'm normally not a person to get worked up about a videogame of all things, but something about Phantasmagoria makes me legitimately angry.
@dosnostalgic @SpindleyQ I second this sentiment. The game rubs me the wrong way far more than on a puzzle level. Maybe it's in contrast to gabriel knight 2 which is a much better game, but it is hard to pin down exactly what it is for me, but it just bad. Maybe it's the try hard nature of being "edgy"
@Bogusmeatfactory @SpindleyQ Oh, I can tell you *exactly* what makes me angry about it. I've been thinking of making a video about it forever, but I can't even manage to write a script for it because I get so angry so quickly just thinking about it.
